Instructor
Jessica Loose, RYT 200 in Bhakti Yoga from Yen Yoga and Fitness in Traverse City, Michigan and Yoga Philosophy Training with Kaya Mindlin.
Jessica is a mother of 5, dedicated yoga teacher, occupational and massage therapist living in Northern Michigan with her husband. When she’s not on the mat or in the clinic, she loves soaking up the outdoors by kayaking, camping, and snow skiing.
Her background in occupational and massage therapy deeply influences her yoga teaching. She blends functional anatomy with pranayama (breathwork), mindful meditation, and somatic release to help you let go of stored physical and emotional tension. Her goal is to create a safe space where you can restore alignment, cultivate inner peace, and truly connect with your body.
“Yoga is the dance of every cell with the music of every breath that creates inner serenity and harmony.” — Amit Ray
Meet OUr graphic designer
Dani Renwick from Charmellow helped Sankalpa School of Yoga design our logo and website, bringing our vision to life. From our first meet, Dani was a great listener, we discussed the logo’s MANDALA in depth. The heart chakra at the very core with many hidden meanings within it’s twelve petals along with it’s extended lotus leaves and flowers representing the eight limbs of yoga. Choosing colors inspired by a SSY trip out west that are as bold as the Red Rocks. Each color has memories and meaning attached. We love our Grand Canyon brown, Sedona’s Cathedral Rock red, Page’s Glen Canyon orange, our Scottsdale Sun yellow, Zion National bronze, Horseshoe Bend sand, and Lake Havasu pink sunset. With all the beautiful colors chosen, it made the website fall into place and very pleasing to the eye. Thank you Dani!
